At The Ingleborough, our activities program is designed to be varied, engaging, and flexible, ensuring there is always something enjoyable for everyone. While no two days are exactly alike, our monthly schedule follows a rhythm of diverse activities that promote wellbeing, creativity, and social connection.
Keeping Active and Creative
We offer a range of activities to keep the mind and body active. This includes regular Exercise Sessions and Active Games like indoor bowling, skittles, beanbag games, and target practice. For those who enjoy creating, our Arts and Crafts sessions are very popular, with residents often working on seasonal decorations like Christmas cards or communal projects like collages and poppy wreaths.
Social, Entertainment, and Relaxation
Socialising is at the heart of our community. Our Lively Lounges are central hubs for music, magazines, and puzzles. We host regular Bingo and Dominoes games, as well as movie afternoons with resident-chosen Favourite Films. Music is a staple, from Sing-Alongs to sessions with Musical Instruments or dedicated Music and Movement. For a touch of pampering, we offer a Hairdresser visit and Pamper Sessions.
Reminiscence and Personalised Care
We also offer activities designed for individual engagement and reflection. Our VR Sets can transport residents to different scenes, from the Northern Lights to a post-war street tour, often sparking conversation during Group Reminiscing sessions. Crucially, our staff dedicate time for Room Visits and One-to-One activities to ensure every resident receives personalised attention and can enjoy their preferred hobbies, whether it’s reading the Craven Herald, working on jigsaws, or just a friendly chat.
We also mark special occasions, cultural events, and birthdays throughout the year, ensuring every month is filled with celebration and fun.
