We are proud of the community we have built at The Ingleborough and the long-standing relationships we have made with residents and staff; including families of staff. We have a variety of roles here including full-time and part-time specialist nurses; senior care and care staff, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, therapeutic care specialists and activity coordinators.

The teams all work together and each of them play a key role in delivering the high-quality care.

Our care team follows regular shift patterns to provide continuity of care, allowing residents to build relationships with the team and feel both safe and comfortable.

We first opened our doors in 1977 and have continued to keep the community spirit alive in our locally-recognised nursing home. Training and development

Induction and Mandatory training - All staff have access to our online training portal with over 50 courses and participate in a thorough induction training programme.   Competencies are regularly assessed throughout the year.

Everyone has an allocated supervisor, who will guide you through this initial period and is on hand to support and ensure you are confident to perform your duties to the highest standards.

We offer funded training courses for career development in Health and Social care at all Levels.  For the aspiring leaders amongst our staff we offer Management and Leadership courses.

Our nursing team has access to training from a range of providers in the NHS, and can further specialise according to their interests.

We have established partnerships with industry specialists who deliver a variety of in person training to further complement our staff development.

We actively encourage all staff to develop their skills within their role and carry out training for specific roles and interests.
